When life happens....

You may stop blogging ! lol As such I did, well not exactly, I stop blogging on here but started a new one  http://cherriecow.com/  but I do like blogger so im back and will continue to update offend.(at leats once a week. 

So lets move on.

I love cartoons,animation,claymation & stopmotion, I also love to draw and if I could which I can, I do this with the kids that I come into contact with.

so stopmotion here we come.I have about forthy five min. to an hour a day with about five to ten kids a day.I have to engage them pretty quickly.

Like most they frown a pond writing begin that they were in school all day and about an hour or more doing H.W. When they enter my room writing is the last thing that they want to do is write.

So we start off by building up a character. Make anything they want.

That usually gets the ball rolling.Once they have a character or object that they like then we can move on to creating a story.

We will brainstorm for half of the class then I will hand out paper pencil and a folder for each student to put their work in when they are done.

That's usually how it's done.

OK so I've been away for quit a long time( about a year to be excite).. well no time like the start of a new year to start off on the right foot, I will be in the next day or so i will be posting up on of my animation that Ive been working on.. Good to be back!

Another snow day! YEAH!!

This snowy season is really giving me some extra time to stay home and play with some clay which isn't such a bad idea. Some of my student want to build there clay people with armature inside, so its my challenge to design a model that they can build. So here is  what I've come up with  first  I've built a wire armature and I  hot glued some "L" shape brackets for feet.

then I hot glued foam around the wire leaving the feet exposed

here's another one with a triangle Styrofoam bottom half this will be a girl

my round Styrofoam head which i will use for the face and paint it

made some holes for the eyes to sit in also using pip cleaner for hair

using clay for shoes helps the puppet to stand also I have "T" pins that goes right thru the clay for extra support and the top of the "T" pins can be cover with the clay

I build a stage using Styrofoam so the puppets can walk & the students can move them without the "Tye down " method

Hello 2011

New year ! another year to make it happen, to make goals and stick to them, what   I found  effective is to break down my goals to mini goals, I realize I have alot on my plate, everything from producing a children show to working on my own short animation.

Oh yeah, also holding down my family =).. sometime they get lost in the background of clay & paint.. lol. but with that said and moving fowards, I very excited !
